Tom was born in Quorn, South Australia in 1974. His interest in art began at an early age and his artistic vision and skills developed throughout his school years. Tom worked as a mural artist in his early twenties. He gained valuable experience working on large scale mural commissions throughout Queensland and South Australia. Settling in Noosa Heads, Tom worked on canvas and held his first successful solo exhibition in 1997. Tom and his wife Kate moved back to Victor Harbor SA where they have lived and raised their two daughters for the past seventeen years. Working predominantly in oil on canvas, Tom’s light filled coastal images and Australian landscapes have seen him awarded numerous prestigious Art prizes including two firsts at the Camberwell Art show in Melbourne, also twice winning best of show at the Victor Harbor Art show. Tom continues to explore his artistic expression painting a wide variety of subject matter using both oils and mixed media. His work is in collections throughout Australia and overseas with paintings in Dubai, Montana USA, San Francisco, Vanuatu, Dubai, Shanghai and Switzerland. Tom has recently been awarded the major art prize at the 2018 Rotary Victor Harbor Art Show.
