Jane Smeets

Nature, connection and love thread through Smeets’ artwork, drawing upon life experiences with underpinning themes of life and death. Living on the Fleurieu has directed the attention to nature’s life cycles, supporting the creative expression and giving a voice for living and loving in the present moment. Smeets’ technique, the qualities of mixed media and found objects reflect presenting themes of the natural world and life lived. Fluid and liberal application of watercolour, bold mark making supports the image to emerge.
